Your Linux server runs the SSH daemon and requires an SSH client to log into it. There are many free Windows programs you can download to use to connect to your server, but we'll use Putty as our example. Download and run Putty. In the Host Name field enter your server's IP address or hostname and click Open. You may see a warning about unknown SSH keys when you first connect to your server. This is normal and tell Putty to accept the new key. Use your root login and password to connect. You won't see your password when you're entering it. Once logged in you can use your server as you wish. Use the exit command to log out once you're done.
